Our Vacation to Toronto

John and me on the floating dock at his parents cottage.  We stayed there for 2 1/2 weeks.

John's mom holding Elaine's dog Colin

We did lots of reading at the cottage

I saw lots of plants that I had never seen before.  This one is my favorite and its called Indian Pipe.  Its a flower not a fungus, but it acts a lot like a fungus anyway.

I got to see lots of water lilies.

And we took lots of boat rides.

Elaine is with us here on our ride up the Hollow River which feeds into the lake their cottage is on.

A yellow water lily

John was good at steering the boats.

We visited Algonquin Park.  Its very boggy there and very interesting.  I saw a moose that day!

I saw many butterflies.  This one is a green comma.

That's me learning about bogs in Algonquin.

See, there's John steering the boat again.  He likes to go fast.

We also saw tons of different kinds of fungus.

Basking in the sun on the top of a water fall.

The view from my first canoe ride.

John is very good at canoeing

This is the island that the cottage is on.  John says it looks like a hippo.

The view of the cottage from the water.

This is back in Toronto.  We went to Ontario Place.  Its kind of like an amusement park, but smaller. We rode on the paddle boats.

John making me blueberry pancakes.

We also went to the zoo.
The End.
